Our History.

Many Burundians move abroad or send their children to boarding schools in foreign countries in an attempt to secure the highest level of education.
-> The Burundian education system has been handicapped by a reliance on French as a second language, which has alienated our country from the East African Community.
-> We cannot achieve high education standards when students do not learn to think critically.
-> The world needs intelligent, effective leaders with integrity, good leadership skills and all-round excellence, in order to transform our country and the world at large.

It is therefore against this background that in 2020, Burundi Sir Audrick began to hatch the idea of setting up Green Hills International College so as to deal with these challenges.

Our vision is to develop lifelong learners who can promote peace in today’s fast-changing world and fully equip them with holistic skills that will prepare them to diligently serve and offer Reflective solutions to the twenty-first-century challenges that come with globalization, technological advancements, and fast-changing demographics.

GHIC serves learners of ages between 10 to 19 years. Our classes are evenly represented with both boys and girls enjoying a pure boarding school life in the international learning environment. The academic and boarding facilities meet the quality standards as demanded by the International Education standards. The ICT and SCIENCE laboratories are set to meet the academic demands of the American curriculum.

Situated within BWOGA 1 Gitega Province in the republic of Burundi, GHIC offers the best and most serene learning environment. Our social, moral, and academic discipline models have unanimously created a unique learning campus.
I’m proud of our students, the spirit of consistency incorporated by the experience of my teaching staff is remarkable. The mentorship program spearheaded by the Welfare Office is a positive inclusion in school. Our learners exhibit unique attributes; Inquirers, Knowledgeable, Thinkers, Communicators, Principled, Open-minded, Caring, and Risk-takers.

My desire and ultimate goal is to see through the young people that nature has placed in my hands, I have to wholeheartedly support and fully equip them with the intellectual tools required by highly competitive universities across the world.
